Fernitz is a small town in the south-eastern region of Austria. The closest airport to the town is Langenlebarn/Tul Airport, which is around 40kms away. The airport runs shuttle buses to the nearest large towns. Once in Fernitz, get around the local area using cheap car hire in Fernitz Downtown.

Close by is Naturpark Kamptal-Schonberg, which is a protected area full of forest and marshes, and has the Kamps River running through it. There are also vineyards, and the park is open to the public. Car rental in Fernitz Downtown is the best way to reach Naturpark.

A few miles to the north is the town of Horn, which is linked to Fernitz by route 34. Horn is also a rather small town, and has some lovely places to eat local cuisine. Here you will find Hobarth Museum, which displays artefacts found in the local area as well as folk art.

Take a drive in the pretty Austrian countryside using car hire in Fernitz Downtown. Stop in some of the villages at your will for an afternoon refreshment and to learn about the local culture and traditions. The towns and villages all welcome visitors warmly.

To the west is the historical town of Hollabrunn. Here there are plenty of sights and museums to look around. Churches and the monestary are the primary sights of the town, along with the poor house, town square and Holy Trinity Column.
